Last week I wrote about the lack of a good morning radio show, I cannot find a good morning radio show. I wasn't limiting my search to just Cleveland either.
A friend of mine who lives in Brooklyn, New York but spends a good amount of time at his upstate cottage near Woodstock suggested a local station up there, Radio Woodstock WDST. I'd been familiar with the station and have probably listened to their stream at some point but it wasn't one of my "go to" stations.
I've been listening to the morning show for about a week now. And this is as close as I've found to what I believe makes good morning radio. The host is a guy named Greg Gattine. He's got a friendly delivery and mixes in music, discussion and guests. National news is handled by an NBC feed anchored by Chris Jansing. Jansing was raised in Fairport Harbor, Ohio and attended Otterbein College. So there's even a Cleveland and Ohio connection.
