At the start of 2012 I created two playlists on Spotify. One contains the official singles released in 2012 and the other is for albums.
These aren't supposed to be definitive lists by any means. I'm adding to the singles list either through a message board thread which posts them, or if I see something that I think should be on it that they've neglected. The albums list contains releases that have gotten decent to good reviews.
The lists are growing quite long, espcially the albums. It's a great way to quickly search for something new to listen to.
