If you're like me you have or listen to digital music in many places. Let's see there's my computer hard drive(s), Spotify, Soundcloud, YouTube and I'm probably missing some others. It gets a bit confusing trying to find a song sometimes.
There's a new open source player called Tomahawk that is creating quite a buzz. You simply download the player, add the places where your music listening takes place and you have a one stop listening spot.
It is quite a piece of software but I'm not sure I'm as thrilled as some of the hype I'm reading. Mashable calls it "awesome", Cult of Mac "amazing", and Wired says "it's the most important music app nobody's talking about".
I like the environments that go along with a particular music I'm playing. Sometimes it'll lead me to music I wasn't planning on listening to or even knew about.
