Girl Talk is the monicker of Pittsburgh native, Gregg Gillis.
His music, which he started creating while a student at Case Western Reserve University here in Cleveland, is based on samples. In fact, he uses a huge amount of disparate samples. Samples that are often lifted from very mainstream songs and covering many years of pop music.
What makes the music so joyous and magical is that while you dance your head explodes with an overload of both recognizable samples and ones that you know you've heard but can't for the life of you remember the source.
His last album was called Night Ripper. The new one is called Feed The Animals and is presently available in a pay what you like basis here. It's available as individual tracks and as one long single track. I got both versions.
