MTV Music Awards

Well, the MTV Video Music Awards show has come and gone and as is the case with recent years...it once again was just aweful.  I long for the shows of the 90's when Pee Wee asked if anyone had heard any good jokes or Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley kissing. 

I've got nothing against hip hop and rap but right now at MTV there is really very little diversity.  Where's the rock?!  The Racontours relegated to side stage (house band) where we got to hear maybe 20 seconds of a song then...cut to break.  Lou Reed, who joined them early on to do a uptempo version of White Light White Heat, even pleaded with MTV execs while presenting to play more rock music.
