I've been talking about the fast paced revolution of TV content delivery via the internet. It's exciting and yet still only allows you a limited amount of what is on the internet delivered to your large screen TV.
I often here from customers who want to turn their main viewing TV into a monitor. Part of me cringes at the idea. After all, you sit down to watch TV to get away from your computer with its email and work related programs, docs, etc. On the other hand, it would be nice to be able to watch anything the net has to offer on the big screen.
There's been devices to allow this, some wired (not a good option) and some wireless. The prices I'd seen were usually over $300. Now I've found one to do the trick for only $170. It's from a company called Warpia.
The device is wireless though it does need line of site to function. That's ok though. You'll be sitting on your couch with your laptop anyway. The audio and video signal are transmitted to an HDMI input on your TV offering up to 720p HD capability.
So sit back and surf the net to your hearts' content on the comfort of your couch. Now that's living.
