Tomorrow starts the 2010 version of the annual CEDIA Expo. That means custom installation folks from all over the US are heading down south to Atlanta today.
Aside from the exhibition floor, which will include all sorts of new product that manufacturers wait to unveil at this show, their are plenty of other things to keep attendees busy. Meetings are scheduled between dealer management and manufacturers. Installers, technicians and and programmers will be honing their craft in classes offered. Even sales people will be learning new ways to engage their potential customers.
What new and exciting products will be released? What will be the big buzz of the show? We'll know in the coming days and you can read about it here. I can already tell you that despite best efforts by manufacturers, attendees are not ready to embrace 3D TV. It'll be interesting to see how its' received on the show floor. I expect a sort of revolt from the dealers and integrators.
I do see much talk about iThis and iThat along with the growing Android platform. I also see more and more pieces of equipment with internet connectivity. Heck, it's pretty much what you've been reading about here.
Still, there should be some interesting things that may fit nicely in your home entertainment scheme. I'll let you know and be ready to help you implement it.
