A couple of weeks back I wrote about connecting your PC or laptop to your main TV, Turning Your Living Room TV Into A PC Monitor. I talked about one such gadget that does the trick. Of course there's going to be competition and one of them getting some good buzz at the show is from iogear. It's a wireless device that sends content via USB. It sends both audio and video and is capable of handling HD.
Running wires in existing houses can be expensive, it can create needed repairs once done, and is sometimes impossible. One solution that's been toyed with is running signals over your existing electrical lines. A company called Plaster Networks is unveiling their product that utilizes this technology. It's quite a simple solution involving merely plugging small boxes into your electrical outlets, creating a wired network.
Both of these connectivity solutions solve real problems for everyday folk who want to enjoy the entertainment choices available today yet may have been stymied by cost and ability.
