The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) takes place at the start of each new year in Las Vegas. It has turned into a massive hodge podge of everything tech. It's hardly about speakers and amplifiers anymore. It's all about mobile devices and gadgets.
It's all very cool stuff but really not geared toward the home entertainment market. Unlike, the Custom Entertainment Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo which gets under way in Atlanta next week on the 22nd. Alas, it's not open to the public as is the CES show.
Fear not though. As is the case with most trade shows regardless of the field attendance is down. Some of it is due to the economy but the plain truth is that with the internet you can find out everything that's being unveiled from the comfort of your home.
Stay tuned, as next week I'll be linking to all sorts of coverage for you. Well, things that I think you'll be interested in. As you know, this is not a site for tech jargon but a place to come for honest answers and service about how you can make your home more enjoyable in your leisure time.
