The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held every January in Las Vegas is set for January 5th through the 10th. For many electronics geeks it's like an extension of Christmas.
I'm not about to go into detail about it because, quite frankly, I've never been to it. In a past post I discussed CEDIA and it's superior importance to what we do as custom integrators.
CES is now much more about computers than about speakers. That's fine. The integration of computers into home entertainment is undeniable and very exciting.
Huge shows like this are dying off for a number of reasons including the economy and, even more so, the availability of coverage on the internet.
So, with that in mind here's CNET's take on the upcoming show.
